Bookmobile

BookmobileCheaha Regional Library provides direct services at the local level via the Bookmobile in Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Randolph and Talladega Counties. The Bookmobile stops at rural communities, the homebound, nutrition sites, daycare centers, nursing homes, and schools throughout the five counties.




BookEnds

Cheaha Regional Library publishes a quarterly newsletter for member libraries and their board members called "BookEnds".

Other services offered to member libraries:

  • Basic central reference service as well as answering ready reference questions via telephone, fax or e-mail.
  • Interlibrary loan service to maximize the use of all available material not found in the region.
  • Assist with automating the Circulation System.
  • Basic central reference service as well as answering ready reference questions by telephone, fax or mail from member libraries.
  • Large Print and Audio Cassette Collection for the use of all member libraries and their patrons.
  • A collection of books for use by the bookmobile patrons and as a supplemental collection for member libraries.
  • A collection of puppets for Children's Programs.
  • Interlibrary Loan service to maximize the use of all available material not found in the region
  • Consulting services in the areas of library planning and evaluation, adult and children services, material selection, weeding and technical services.
  • Fund raising.
  • Preparation of grant applications.
  • Continuing education programs.
  • Additional $300 for Summer Reading Programs.
