There is no charge for a library card. If the card is lost, there is a $1.00 replacement charge.

You must have PROOF OF RESIDENCE with your name and current address on it to get a card. A proof of residence is a recently postmarked piece of mail – no junk mail. For a child a parent or guardian must come in and provide the information; the child should be at least six years old. You will need a VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE. You will need to provide your name, telephone number and your birth date. In addition we will need a reference with a telephone number. The reference should be someone we could call and leave a message with, if we could not reach you at your phone number.

The first time you check out material, we ask that you only check out two items. When these are returned, you may check out more items.

All items are checked out for two weeks. The due date for items to be returned is stamped on the date due card provided with each item. If necessary, items may be renewed one time. No renewals on videos or new books.

DO NOT PUT VIDEOS, BOOKS ON TAPE, OR CD’s IN THE BOOKDROP.

LATE FINE: BOOKS, MAGAZINES, AUDIO TAPES, CD’s VIDEOS ARE FIVE CENTS PER DAY. TEST BOOKS -- $.50 PER DAY. EQUIPMENT -- $1.00 PER DAY. AUDIO CASSETTES CASES $.50.CD CASES -- $.75. BAGS $1.00 MISSING CD’s $10.00

At any time you may only have a total of 20 items checked out per library card. Your limits are: 2 Videos, 5 Periodicals, 5 Books on Tape (audiotapes) or CD's, 10 Fiction & 10 Nonfiction Books (No more than 5 per category).

The overhead projector is available to check out for two days only. A $1.00 Fee will be charged to help pay for replacement bulbs for the equipment.

If you loose or damage an item, it must be paid for (fine also) before you check out anything. The cost of the item will be the replacement cost to the library. If the item is returned within 90 days, the cost of the item (not the fine) will be refunded to you.

There is an outside book drop in the wall next to the side door. Do not place videos, books on tape, or CD’s in the book drop. If the fine is owed on an item, the computer will automatically assess the fine and you may pay it the next time you are at the library.
