Policies
- Library cards are issued free of charge to Cleburne County residents. A parent or guardian must sign for a child who is under 16 years of age.
- Books, periodicals, and tapes may be borrowed for a two-week period and may be rechecked, if there is no waiting list.
- A fine of five cents per day is charged for any material not returned by the due date.
- First checkout is limited to one book or tape. Thereafter, patrons with no fines or overdue items may check out five items.
- Reference books and vertical file material must be used in the library.
- Civic and service organizations may hold meetings in the library by scheduling them with the library director.
- Books are filed according to the Dewey Decimal System. An online Card catalogs is located near the front entrance. Latest fiction and best-sellers are displayed by author near the magazine section.
- If the library is closed, borrowed material may be returned in the outside depository box.
- Smoking, eating and drinking are not permitted in the library. (Exception: Refreshments may be served during club meetings and special events held in the library.)
- Donations of books and gifts or monetary contributions should be made through the Library Board, the library director or Friends of the Library.
- Computers may be used by children under the age of 14 only with adult supervision.
