To the Friends of the Bookmobile

Cheaha Regional Library, with headquarters in Heflin, Alabama, oversees the work of the Bookmobiles. The regional was established in 1976 to provide bookmobile service for the education and enrichment of the people in Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Randolph and Talladega Counties. We have scheduled stops at schools, day-care centers, Head Starts, for the homebound, at assisted living, nutrition centers and at communities. This service is provided free to anyone in our service area regardless of age, race or socioeconomic status.

Due to the ever increasing cost of materials as well as the expanded access made possible with new technology for better library service there is also the need for additional funding for these services. We would appreciate any tax-deductible donations for the purchases of new materials for the bookmobile collection.
